Letting Go - A Poem
Wandering apart
With individual hearts
Like dandelions flying in the wind
We’re carried in different directions
As our season ends
In the bitter cold of winter
Bearing the weight of us
Is being crushed by a ten tonne bus
The grip on you released
Devoid of your presence for the better
What remains is a recollection of the past
In each of our minds
Even if for a brief moment
I let you go
