Full Circle Journey - Poem

As I walk back to my hotel for the last time

A sinking feeling of sadness strikes

My gut feels turned upside down

What was in the moment experiences

Begin to blend into memories

Cherished humanity

Amongst humans on the other side of the world

Not leaving this behind

On the flight back home

The reality of a temporary alternate reality

Away from home

Has come to an end

And reality of life itself

Will return amongst touchdown on Australian soil

Alongside a different version of me
