A Comfort Letter For You

Part I: Reality

The pain. The heartbreak. The loneliness. The longing. The anxiety. The darkness and depression. Whatever emotions you’re experiencing right now, it’s likely you’ve been here before. Take a second to remember.

This isn’t the first time you’ve experienced some form of adversity, difficulty, challenge or a slap in the face from life. Despite this, you’re still here, which means you made it through those moments in time, even if you may have believed otherwise.

Something has kept you going, and it’s that fighting spirit inside of you. Perhaps it’s time to unleash the beast in this fight.

Part II: The Phoenix

The pile of ashes you see before you in your life at present, regardless of size, will form part of your future self. The fire reflecting in your eyes as you see crumbling pieces will extinguish, and you will absorb its power.

The death of the old version of you, whether it be yesterday, last week, month, year or decade ago, serves as the foundation for the rising of a new Phoenix. You, my friend, are that bright, burning Phoenix that has risen from the destruction in your past.

The cycle will repeat. At each evolution, you become a version of yourself unforeseen by your past self. That is the beauty of growth through adversity.

Embrace the fire, and you will become the fire.

I believe in you, lionheart.
